Android · iPhone (iOS) · Desktop Browser · 30-Day Free Pro Trial
Keep the apps. Lose the scroll.
Reelless blocks Reels, Shorts and endless feeds inside the apps you already use — on Android, iPhone (iOS) and desktop browsers — so you can still message friends, search YouTube and post photos, without getting pulled into hours of scrolling.
- On-device
- No ads
- Works in every language
The problem
You open the app for one thing. An hour disappears.
You needed to reply to a friend, look up a recipe, or post a photo. Then a short video started playing, and the next one, and the next. That’s not a lack of willpower — these feeds are designed to never end.
Deleting the apps doesn’t work either. Your friends, your groups, your work and your learning live there. You don’t want less of your apps. You want less of the feed.
Dopamine Friction & Clarity
Meet the 5-Tier Brainrot Clarity System
Reeless monitors your compulsive swipe frequency and app triggers in real time, calculating a 100% on-device clarity score to keep you out of mindless autopilot trance.
Calculated privately on-device based on daily reel swipes and intervention adherence.
Peak Clarity (85–100%)
Zero algorithmic doomscrolling. Your mind is sharp, focused, and in deep control of your attention.
Intervention Engine
Passive shield monitoring. Reels & Shorts shelves stay completely covered.
Mindful Habit Goal
Maintain focus streaks and deep work sessions without friction.
Mindful 4-7-8 Breathing
When Reeless detects compulsive reel triggers, it introduces a calming 4-7-8 breath pacer before the app opens.
A simple 5-second pause resets the prefrontal cortex, transforming unconscious muscle memory into intentional choice.
Quick Focus Sprints
Activate a quick Pomodoro shield session that locks down all short-video algorithms while leaving work & communications intact.
Enforces strict distraction shielding with zero willpower fatigue.
How it works
Three steps. Then forget it’s there.
No new habits to learn. Reelless works quietly inside the apps you already use.
Step 1
Choose your apps
Pick which apps and sites to protect and what to block in each — Shorts, Reels, Spotlight, suggested posts.
Step 2
Turn on protection
On Android, allow Reelless in Accessibility settings — we walk you through it and explain exactly what that permission is for. In Chrome, just add the extension.
Step 3
Use your apps normally
Message, search, post and browse like always. When a short video appears, Reelless closes or covers it — instantly.
What it does
Block the feed. Control the rest. See the difference.
Three kinds of tools — on your phone and in your browser.
Short videos, gone — the app still works
The short-video player exits on its own, Reels shelves in your feed get covered, and the Reels and Shorts tabs simply won’t open.
- Player exits automatically
- Reels shelves covered in feeds
- Reels & Shorts tabs blocked
- “One and done”: watch the one a friend sent, not the next
Shelves covered
Reels rows in your feed get a calm cover. Keep scrolling the posts you came for.
Friends-first Facebook
Suggested posts slide out. Your friends stay.
Use apps on your terms
Turn YouTube into a search engine, keep Facebook to friends, filter topics you’re tired of, and set limits that actually stick.
- YouTube Search-only mode
- Facebook Friends-first
- Keyword & topic filters, on-device
- Time limits, schedules and Strict mode
Search-only YouTube
No home feed, no recommendations. Just a search bar.
Keyword filters
Pick topics you’re done with. Matching posts get blurred and folded away.
See the time you got back
Private stats on your phone: time per app, short-form time per platform, how many reels you didn’t watch, and the time that saved.
- Time spent on short-form, per platform
- Estimated reels and shorts watched
- Time saved and streaks
- Weekly report and hourly heatmap
Honest stats
Your week, counted on your phone.
Daily allowance
10 minutes of Shorts a day, then the door closes.

Every language
Works in your language — whatever it is
Reelless doesn’t depend on the words on your screen. It recognizes the layout of short-video screens, so it works the same in English, Bengali, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish or any other app language.
Right-to-left languages like Arabic and Urdu are fully supported.

Privacy first
Stays on your device
To recognize a short-video screen, Reelless has to look at the screen. So we built it to do that on your phone, and nowhere else.
On-device only
Every check happens on your phone. Nothing about your screen is uploaded.
No content collected
No screen content is stored or sent. Not messages, not posts, not what you watch.
No ads, no trackers
The app has no ads and no analytics SDKs. Your attention isn’t our product.
Narrow permissions
On Android, Accessibility is used only to spot short-video screens. In Chrome, the extension runs only on supported sites.

What is Reelless?
Reelless blocks Reels, Shorts and other short-video feeds inside social apps, while the rest of each app keeps working. It comes as an Android app for your phone and a Chrome extension for your computer. You can still message friends, search YouTube and post photos — you just don’t get pulled into the endless scroll.
Does Reelless work on my computer?
Yes — through the Reelless Chrome extension. It hides Shorts, Reels and recommendation feeds on sites like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram in Chrome on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS.
What data does Reelless collect?
None about your screen or the pages you visit. Recognition happens on your phone or inside your browser; no content is collected, stored or sent. Your stats are stored locally. There are no ads and no analytics SDKs.
Why does Reelless need the Accessibility Service?
It’s the only Android feature that lets an app recognize when a short-video screen opens inside another app and press back or cover it. Reelless uses it only for that. The full explanation is on our Accessibility Service disclosure page.
Which apps does Reelless support?
YouTube (Shorts), Facebook (Reels, including Facebook Lite), Instagram (Reels and Explore), TikTok, Snapchat (Spotlight), and in beta X, Reddit, LinkedIn and Pinterest. On Android it also works in mobile browsers like Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Brave, Edge and Opera. On computers, the Chrome extension covers YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit and LinkedIn.
Does Reelless block ads?
No. Reelless is not an ad blocker and does not hide or block ads inside other apps. It only deals with short-video screens and feeds.
Is there an iPhone version?
Yes! Reeless for iPhone is powered natively by Apple’s Screen Time API (FamilyControls & ManagedSettings) and a dedicated Safari Content Blocker. It blocks doomscrolling reels and shorts, prompts mindful breathing breaks, and runs 100% on-device with zero battery drain.
Is Reelless free?
There will be a free plan with basic blocking on two apps and 7 days of stats. Pro unlocks every feature and every app. Prices will be announced at launch.
